CANCELLATION AND REFUND POLICY
1. Discovery Session
1.1 Payment
Accentutor takes payment for Discovery Sessions in advance.
1.2 Cancellation (less than 48 hours before the session time)
Please note that once you have booked a Discovery Session with us, it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you.
If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours before the session time, Accentutor will retain the USD 40 session price as a cancellation fee, and you will not have the option to reschedule the session free of charge.
To avoid a cancellation fee, please email hello@accentutor.com to notify Accentutor of the cancellation at least 48 hours before your appointment.
1.3 Cancellation and refund (more than 48 hours before the session time)
If you cancel a Discovery Session more than 48 hours before the original appointment date, you can reschedule the session free of charge or request a full refund of the session price. If you want to reschedule the session, you will be able to rebook at the earliest availability opportunity (subject to the trainer’s availability).

1.4 If your trainer is not able to attend a session
There may be occasions when your Accentutor trainer cannot attend a scheduled session (for example, due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances). You can reschedule the session free of charge or request a full refund of the session price in such a case. If you want to reschedule the session, you will be able to rebook at the earliest availability opportunity (subject to the trainer’s availability).
2. The 13-week English Pronunciation Programme
2.1 Payment
Accentutor takes payment for the 13-week English Pronunciation Programme in advance.
2.2 Refunds
We do not offer refunds on the 13-week English Pronunciation Programme. We are here to train you to your highest level of success, and part of that is requiring a commitment from you to invest yourself fully in the programme.
2.3 Cooling-off period
We offer a 7-day cooling-off period from the date of payment for the course, during which time we provide a full refund if you choose not to continue with the programme. Please note that Accentutor will not commence diagnostic work until the cooling-off period has passed. During this time, you can prepare your audio recordings for assessment.
2.4 Scheduling your sessions
We ask you to schedule all 13 sessions at the beginning of the course because success in the programme depends on regular weekly practice. By making a weekly commitment at a specific time at the outset, you will set yourself up for success.
2.5 Cancellation (more than 48 hours before your session)
Should you need to reschedule a 13-week English Pronunciation Programme session, you may do so by providing 48 hours notice in advance of your session. You can reschedule the session free of charge at a date no less than one week after your final scheduled appointment* of the programme in such a case. You can reschedule your appointment by emailing us at hello@accentutor.com.
*The reason we ask you to reschedule the session to the end of the programme is to allow you to practice for at least one week between sessions. Less than one week between sessions will limit your practice time and reduce your chances of success. Therefore, we ask you to skip a week and add the session to the end of the programme to allow at least one whole week of practice time between classes.
2.6 Cancellation (less than 48 hours before your session)
If you do not cancel your session more than 48 hours in advance, you will not be eligible to reschedule it. You will be required to book an additional ‘Ongoing 1-hour Consultation Session’ at USD 80 to make up the session after your final scheduled appointment of the programme. You must prioritise this work to receive the full benefit of the programme.
2.7 If your trainer is not able to attend a session
There may be occasions when your Accentutor trainer cannot attend a scheduled session (for example, due to illness or other unavoidable circumstances). You can reschedule the session free of charge at a date no less than one week after your final scheduled appointment* of the programme in such a case.

2.8 Programme Expiry
You must complete the 13-week English Pronunciation Programme within six months from the date of the first Pronunciation Programme session, after which you will forfeit any outstanding Pronunciation Programme sessions. If you wish to complete the programme after this time, you will be required to book additional ‘Ongoing 1-hour Consultation Sessions’ at USD 80 to make up any forfeited sessions.
In the rare event that the non-attendance of the Accentutor trainer contributes to your programme duration exceeding six months, Accentutor will extend the programme to equal the delay caused by the non-attendance of the trainer. For example, if the trainer could not attend one session during the programme, Accentutor will give you a one-week extension to the six-month programme expiry date.
2.9 If Accentutor is not able to continue to deliver the programme
If Accentutor is, for any reason, unable to continue to provide the programme, you will be eligible for compensation of:
- USD 80 for each of the 13-week sessions not delivered.
- UDS 100 for the final assessment not delivered.
3. Individual Consultation Sessions
3.1 Payment
Accentutor takes payment for Individual Consultation Sessions in advance.
3.2 Cancellation (less than 48 hours before the session time)
Please note that once you have booked an Individual Consultation Session with us, it means that we have reserved time in our schedule exclusively for you.
If you cancel your appointment less than 48 hours before the session time, Accentutor will retain the USD 80 session price as a cancellation fee, and you will not have the option to reschedule the session free of charge.

4. Group Classes and Workshops
4.1 Payment
Accentutor takes payment for Group Workshops and eight-week Weekly Class packages in advance.
4.2 Refunds
Please note that Group Workshops and eight-week Weekly Class packages are non-refundable.
Group Workshops and eight-week Weekly Class packages may be transferred to another person up to 7 days in advance of the course start date, providing the transferee meets the class pre-requisites and you provide us with the contact details of your replacement at hello@accentutor.com at least 7 days before the workshop or eight-week Weekly Class package starts.
